Moab
Well we went to Moab to visit and had a nice relaxing weekend. On the way back home we made a couple of stops along the way. We stopped at Matrimony Springs which is a natural spring that runs just outside of Moab. Then, we stopped at Dewey Bridge. It was a suspension bridge that was built in 1916 and last year, a 7 year old boy was playing with matches and started it on fire. All that is left is the suspension wires and the cement at the end. Very Sad.

Works for me Wednesday - Backward Edition
Rocks In My Dryer is doing a backwards edition of Works for me Wednesday and I thought I would play along. My question is how do you can salsa in jars? I have a bunch of canning jars. Can I put the salsa in and then boil the jars in a large pot so they seal? How does this work? Thanks for any info. Please leave a comment with yout reply.

First week of school!
Well, we made it through the first week of school. The kids and I had to be headed out of the house by 6am for everyone to make it where they needed to be on time. This meant a 5 am wake up call for Brendan and I. He had to shower in the morning so he had to be up early. I let Madison sleep a little longer and then would get her up after I was done getting myself ready. Then about 5 minutes before we would have to leave I would throw some clothes on Riley. We then head to town to drop Madison and Riley off at daycare and then Madison would be taken to school by them because she doesn't start for an hour and a half after Brendan. After they are all settled, I take Brendan to his friends house where they hang until it is time for them to be at school. It was a little rough the first day as Madison didn't get on the bus after school to go back to daycare and her teacher had to call me to come and get her. But, everything was pretty good. I was amazed!!

Camping Trip to Ridgeway
Sorry I have been so lame on keeping this updated. We recently went camping to Ridgeway. We spent the night at a great campground!! It had clean bathrooms which is a huge plus for me. It even had a laundry facility. After making it through a very rainy night in which Brandon and I woke up with a little pond in our tent, we headed to Ouray, CO. We did the little hike up to the Cascade Falls which was amazing!! Then, we camped out another night and did a repeat of the thunderstorm only this time we had bought some spray stuff to keep the water out. So we woke up nice and dry. We got up and headed out on the boat and tried fishing. I was the only one with a bite and Riley got to reel it in, he was soooo excited he could hardly keep from falling of the back of the boat. We decided to let the fish go and he was not happy about that. We had to wait until he wasn't looking and let it go. Besides the rain the only bad thing about the trip was Riley, he is terrified of the thunder!! Not just a little either, he sat in my car in the dark until it stopped. The next morning a truck had started and made a sound similar to thunder and he took off running to hide!

Disney Land

Brendan, Riley and Madison left on Tuesday to go to Florida with there grand parents. Brendan started sending us picture updates and I will put them on here as often as I can. Maddie went on some ride that dropped her a coule of storeies and loved it. Brendan liked the Roller Coaster of Aerosmith and Riley sounds like he is on overload running around cause there is so much to see.
Note: These pics are being taken from Brendans cell phone so, some of them are darker.

Short Trip to Moab!!
Madison, Riley and I headed over to Moab for a day and a half so I could get a copy of my registration on our car so I can get Colorado plates on our car. We hung out with the family, it was nice but fast. We stopped at the new walking bridge they put over the colorado river just on the outside of Moab. So I of course took pics.

A short hello!!
Sorry I haven't been my oicture taking self these days. We are all still trying to adjust to our move and me working full time again. So I thought I would stop by and let everyone know we are doing good and slowly adjusting again. We are currently looking for a house so we are staying with Brandon's parents for the time being.
The real reason I thought about getting on her was cause Riley did a sort of..........it wasn't really a funny but it was.
Brandon and I had taken Riley, Madison and 2 of Madison's friends into town to look at blockbuster. I was wandering around by myself to try and find a good movie and Brandon was following the kids around. I kept hearing Riley get really excited about the different monsters and such on the movie cases. I had finally picked out a movie and had gone over to get everyone so we could check out and all of a sudden I hear "ooooooooh fuck!!" of course at that moment the store was completely silent and Madison older friend looks at me like did he really just say that? I could feel my face turning bright red and Brandon was trying not to laugh. Riley was just going on and didn't even notice. I am hoping to ignore it and hope I don't hear that again. I was so embarassed!!
Well I hope someone gets a good laugh from that. Sorry no pictures but hopefully soon!!

Kids playing nice
So I am sitting here on the computer and my 6 year old daughter and my 3 year old son are in the living room playing. My daughter brought the box of hot wheel cars down and I am sitting here listening to what they are playing. My daughter has instructed my son to sit on the couch and she would show my son each car, one at a time and he is to tell her whether each car is cool or dumb. She is putting the cool cars in one pile and the dumb cars in another. It is very funny to listen to. If you know my kids then you would know these two rarely are around each other with out teasing each other and fighting. It is a nice change. We will see how long it lasts.
I am trying to keep up with this but, I only have good internet access when I am at work. Hopefully when we get our own place I can keep up better.

This Weekend
My first bit of news is, I got the job I drove many miles for!! I am going to train to be the new General Manger for the Super 8. I know same as my dad. I have always liked working as a desk clerk. I will just have the opportunity to advance and make more money this time. Lucky for me the owners like me as I have worked for them before.
Ok now, here are some pics from this weekend of everyone hanging out. Today, my sister Tricia took all the kids except Xander to the big sandhill here in Moab and then out to the old City Park to watch the ducks.

Traveling Today
Today it is raining out, non stop. I am going to be traveling again for the next 5 or so days. Today, I will go and see my hubby who is 3 hours away working. The kids and I will stay there for 2 days and then drive to Moab which is another 3 hours away. I will then drive to Grand Junction, another 2 hours. I have a meeting with my old boss. We are going to be talking about me becoming the general manager at one of there hotels. After I am done with that I am driving back to Moab to hang out with my family for a couple of days. If the weather is good I am hoping to take the kids to do something outdoors for Memorial Weekend. I really want to take them fishing on the mountain but, since I am by myself these days it is kind of difficult to do things with 3 kids. It seems like I have less patience since my hubby has been working out of town. I have a huge amount of respect for single mothers now. Anyway, I will try and take some good pics and start getting some pics on here.

Back home for a minute!!
So I drove over to Moab on Friday so I could drive to Grand Junction on Saturday to talk to my old boss and see about a job. I was hoping to go back to work at the Super 8 as a desk clerk again. I really like working at the hotel. I walked in and my boss was vey happy to see me. Anyway, we talked for a bit and she said she would be happy to have me working there again. She told me to call the owner casue she has the final say in hiring so I did and it turns out they need a General Manager for there other hotel. The owner said she actually thought of me a while back when they were in need of a manager. So, I am going back over to Grand Junction on Friday to meet with the owners and talk about what would be required of me. I am actually going to drive to Vernal Wednesday afternoon and stay there Wednesday night and Thursday night and then get up Friday and drive to Grand Junction to meet with the owners and then I will drive to Moab again for the weekend to hang out with my family. I haven't been home that much and I have been driving alot.Oh well, after the end of this month I will be done for a while. I can't wait to get moved!!

Happy Mother's Day
God's Masterpiece Is Mother
God took the fragrance of a flowerThe majesty of a tree...
The gentleness of morning dew...
The calm of a quiet sea...
The beauty of the twilight hour...
The soul of a starry night...
The laughter of a rippling brook...
The grace of a bird in flight...
Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when his masterpiece was through
He called it simply - Mother.

Again!!
I am going to attempt this again. I know it has been awhile since I have tried it but, with me not working and being a stay at home mom for the time being, I seem to have a little bit of time on my hands.
Anyway, as you know I am currently living in Northern Utah. But at the end of this month we are moving back to Grand Junction, CO. This is going to be our last move for the next 15 years. Atleast that is what I keep saying to myself. We have moved alot, I don't know if we haven't found the right place or we have and I am just restless and have to feel like I am not missing anything living somewhere else. I am hoping it is the latter and Grand Junction is the best fit for us. Why 15 years?? Because our youngest will be near graduating or already graduated. I have told myself and my husband that I am not going to move my kids again while they are going to school. Our daughter makes friends very easily and is very outgoing. Moving has not been an issue for her but our oldest is more laid back and quiet like I am. Once he makes friends he keeps them and sticks with them. He started Kindergarten out in Moab and made friends there and then we moved to Grand Junction when he was in the middle of his 1st grade year. When we came back to Moab for his 6th and 7th grades. He still has those same few friends he made back in Kindergarten and it was like we had never left. That is how I am. I have had the same friends forever.
So, I am hoping to keep up with this. We will see how it goes!!
